DITASA uses only leading industry experts with full Services SETA accreditation to conduct its facilitation, assessment and moderation.

About the Qualification

Aimed at: The Non-Principal Estate Agent (previously known as full status 'Estate Agent').
Level: Entry Level Qualification for access to the Real Estate Profession. Any person wishing to become an Estate Agent is required to register with the EAAB as an Intern and will thereafter enrol for the FETC: Real Estate NQF4 Full Training.
Duration: The full training will be over 12 months.
Any Estate Agent registered with the EAAB prior to the effective date (15 July 2008) can obtain the FETC: Real Estate by means of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) through an accredited RPL training provider registered with the Services SETA.
RPL Process: Obtaining the Qualification through the process of RPL will take approximately 6 months.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

  • Recognition of Prior Learning is an option to obtain the Qualification by allowing you to demonstrate that you have the necessary knowledge, skills and values at a level required to complete the Qualification.
  • The RPL process assumes that knowledge and understanding of the subject is already in place.
  • Therefore the candidate does not have to attend training sessions on the subjects, but complete the assessments on their own from their base of
  • existing subject knowledge, thus shortening the time it takes to complete the assessments.
  • Should knowledge gaps be identified during assessment of the candidate’s Portfolio Of
  • Evidence (POE), gap training on the specific subjects will be arranged to assist the candidate.


On completion of the programme, you will be able to

  • Promote the development of knowledge, skills and values required in Property and Real Estate;
  • Help learners realise their potential in the field;
  • Provide opportunities for people in the Real Estate sector to progress to levels of authority and responsibility.


Admission Requirements

Language/communication and Mathematics/Numeracy at NQF level 3.

Certification

Upon found competent, you will receive a Services SETA Certificate of competence against the qualification.
